NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH SCIENCESOne of the best schools preparing chiropractic physicians for over 100 years is the National University of Health Sciences, formerly the National College of Chiropractic, in Lombard, Illinois, USA. Not only does it have the highest admission standards of any U.S. chiropractic school, National graduates are leading the profession around the world. With a very high staff-student ratio, here you can see an undergraduate under tutelage.
Located in a quiet family-oriented suburb of the vibrant city of Chicago, National has a beautiful 35-acre campus complete with on-campus housing. Its onsite integrative medical clinic is one of several university-owned clinics in the Chicago area. NUHS is also home to much of the original research generated by the chiropractic profession. The university publishes three scientific journals on chiropractic, including the Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics (JMPT), which is the official research journal of the American Chiropractic Association.
National is also unique in that it is one of the few universities in the world that offer degrees in chiropractic medicine (DC), naturopathic medicine (ND), as well as master’s degrees in acupuncture and oriental medicine, on the same campus.
