NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH SCIENCES
One of the best schools preparing chiropractic physicians for over 100 years is the National University of Health Sciences, formerly the National College of Chiropractic, in Lombard, Illinois, USA. Not only does it have the highest admission standards of any U.S. chiropractic school (a baccalaureate degree and a GPA of at least 2.5), National graduates are leading the profession around the world.

NUHS is also home to much of the original research generated by the chiropractic profession. The university publishes three scientific journals on chiropractic, including the
Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics (JMPT),
which is the official research journal of the American Chiropractic Association.
National is also unique in that it is one of the few universities in the world that offer degrees in chiropractic medicine (DC), naturopathic medicine (ND), as well as master’s degrees in acupuncture and oriental medicine, on the same campus. This allows for collegiality and integrative clinical applications between the professions.
There are currently (2009) 839 students enrolled at National, making it one of the small elite colleges providing a top quality education.
