Search this site helps you find your way around Chiropractic Books and our sister sites.
There are nearly 1000 pages at our three sites; finding your way around can be a nightmare without the use of this helping engine.
There is subject material on chiropractic, nutrition, growing fruit and vegetables and diverse other interesting tidbits; for example, on raw honey and beekeeping. Gliding and building a solar farm are two more of my passions.
Are you searching for something specific on say slipped disc? Just type it in here.
Or perhaps you are hunting for a book for your chiropractor. Dr Bernard Preston DC writes books of a non technical nature, mainly for the lay public wanting to know more about what actually happens at the chiropractic coalface, but many professionals are enjoying them too.
They make an excellent Christmas gift, or thank you for your chiropractor when you know he or she gone the extra mile.
Then there's lots of information on inflammation. Just type the word in, or phrases such as anti inflammatory omega 3.
Perhaps you've heard that the fat in avocado is particularly good for men with prostate problems. Just type the words into the Search this Site function. You'll find it in the navigation bar on the left.
Obviously the main thrust of this site is various chiropractic books; alas there's not a huge literature for the lay reader. There are plenty of books for the professional chiropractor, but not that many on the lighter side, the exception being Dr Bernard Preston's three books of anecdotes.
Then there are books on anatomy, educational books etc.
Chiropractic Help is a sister site with specific information on many of the conditions that chiropractors treat. Wanting to know about tingling in arms and hands? Just type it into the Search this Site function.
Yes, I'm the thinly disguised Dr Bernard Preston, DC. You'll love my books. Promise. If you don't, money back! I'm that confident. There are a few hard copies left of Frog in my Throat and Bats in my Belfry, but in the main we are moving over to ebooks. Half the price and no postage.
You'll find in the search engine that it takes you to pages at Bernard-Preston.com too; perhaps you want to know about planting a lemon tree, or some such. Every garden should have a lemon or lime growing in it; well, not those in Chicago.
Whilst not everyone is crazy enough to want to go soaring in a sailplane, or keep bees, the world is desperate for you to plant bee friendly plants in hour garden. Just a row of pole beans or beautiful and health giving jalapenos would be a great contribution to saving these little insects that are so important to our own future. No bees means no pollination, which means half the food. Almonds for example are utterly dependent on bees.
Many insurance companies now only pay for physical therapists to provide a chiropractic adjustment; that's in the face of powerful research proving that inclusion of DCs to perform their own technique would save them a good deal of money. One has to conclude that political medicine has gone off on another tack to contain our profession.
It's being successful with some doctors of chiropractic quitting. Others become involved in some dodgy practices, like demanding that patients sign up for a whole year of treatment in advance, in order to stay in business.
In recessionary times, the going is tough when the insurance won't pay.
Is the day approaching for a new Wilk versus the AMA and the insurance companies?
The chiropractic profession has tried hard to stay on the moral high ground; those who stoop to unscrupulous practices need to be exposed and disciplined if we are not to stoop to the low blows that medicine has often resorted to contain and eliminate us.
Chiropractic Books.com and its two sister sites Chiropractic Help.com and Bernard Preston.com bring you plenty of information about new books, care of the body, and healthy living tips from your own vegetable and fruit gardening, to flaxseed for omega 3 and much more.
